CHILDREN'S PROGRAM ASSISTANTVolunteers assist staff in providing care and education for children (age 18 months to 5 years) while their mothers participate in PIRS programs. The volunteer helps to provide a safer environment and more individual attention to each child by increasing the number of adults in the room. Many volunteers also bring special interests or talents which can enrich the program. Classes are held at schools, community centres and neighbourhood houses throughout East Vancouver. Required CommitmentOne morning or early afternoon per week, Monday-Friday, for a six-month term (September-December; January-March; April-June). Sample Duties
