MEMBER OF BOARD OF DIRECTORSThe PIRS Board of Directors is a group of twelve to fifteen volunteers with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. The primary responsibility of the Board is to develop policies to guide the Society's programs and services. The Board approves and monitors the Society's budget, secures funding, and sets short and long term goals for the Society. It ensures that we meet the requirements of our mandate and of our funders, and evaluates the success of the programs we offer. Required CommitmentBoard members are required to attend one Board meeting per month on a weekday evening. Members can expect to spend an additional 4-6 hours each month participating in Board-related tasks and special events. A two year commitment is required. General Requirements
