Dear PIRS Friend,
We are delighted to announce the launch of Pacific Immigrant Resources Society’s
Bright Lights Awards: Inspiring Immigrant Women for 35 Years.
To celebrate 35 years of supporting immigrant women and their young children to participate fully in Canadian community life, PIRS is honoring women who have come to Canada from another country and become inspirational leaders in their new communities.
Since 1975 PIRS has been providing services for thousands of immigrant women and their young children to gain the knowledge, skills, confidence and friendships they need to feel at home in Canada, and to participate more actively in their adopted country.
PIRS is seeking nominations of immigrant women who inspire others to achieve through their social, personal and/or professional contributions, and who work to eliminate barriers in their communities. PIRS will be publicly honoring and acknowledging the Award winners this fall.
